The AWS Networking organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon Dedicated Cloud Networking team. This role involves defining technical architecture and building systems for managing mission-critical networks with high availability. The engineer will work closely with various software development teams to create automated solutions that enhance network security and availability. The position requires a strong background in distributed systems and a passion for coding and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects to solve challenging distributed systems problems on a global scale.
- Develop best-in-class software systems for automating Amazon's network.
- Be responsible for the design, implementation, and quality of services delivered.
- Learn, design, and build cloud-computing systems for diverse customers.
- Use data to measure success and ensure service quality.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering teams for smooth software roll-outs.
