Job description

The role is for a Linux/Unix Systems Administrator/Engineer within AWS Infrastructure Services, focusing on maintaining network tools and systems for US GovCloud and other government regions. The team collaborates with various internal software development teams to enhance systems and services. Candidates will be involved in troubleshooting, deploying, and validating systems while ensuring operational excellence. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud computing and the ability to automate tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 4+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the network tools and systems within US GovCloud and other US Government air gapped regions.
  • Troubleshoot problems with systems and services.
  • Deploy and validate systems and services.
  • Monitor services and stand up new tools as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal software development teams to drive improvements.
