Job description

Amazon Web Services is looking for Systems Development Engineers to join their Controlled Working Environment team, focusing on building and maintaining a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification approved infrastructure. This role involves designing architectural approaches and automating functionalities for end user workspaces. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with top engineers and technical managers. Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
  • Due to federal contracts, candidates must be US Citizens

Responsibilities

  • Investigate new ways to improve operations.
  • Define and develop new solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues for customers.
  • Investigate system variances that may affect customer applications before outages occur.
  • Dive deep into new service announcements to implement them effectively.
  • Manage user applications like JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Duo.
