Job description
The role is for a Hardware Engineer in Apple's Camera Hardware Engineering group, focusing on the development of high-performance compact camera modules. The engineer will lead camera hardware projects and collaborate with various product and technology teams. This position emphasizes innovative design and development of camera systems, ensuring exceptional performance in Apple products. The engineer will also be involved in research, testing, and qualification of camera hardware.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with NX software
- Basic structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience
- Experience designing for plastic injection molding and metal stamping for mass production
- Tolerance analysis of high complexity and precision mechanical designs with excellent understanding of GD&T
- Experience with various materials including research, selection, testing, and process ability
- PCB design experience
