Job description

Intel's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technology Front-End Semiconductor Manufacturing team is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer for their Oregon operations. This role focuses on advancing and improving environmental compliance programs across Intel's manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will serve as the primary environmental compliance authority, ensuring adherence to regulations while supporting operational excellence. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in the environmental field, with demonstrated expertise in implementing and executing environmental compliance programs

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site subject matter expert for stormwater compliance programs and regulated waste compliance programs
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable environmental permits, regulations, and Intel's internal environmental standards and policies
  • Conduct comprehensive environmental program audits to assess program health and develop actionable corrective and preventive action plans
  • Collaborate with a team of environmental engineers to peer review permit applications and compliance reports
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on new construction and facility modifications to address environmental permitting and compliance requirements
