Job description

Intel is seeking a Director, Process Engineer – Dry Etch to join the Manufacturing Development and Customer Engineering (MDCE) organization. This role focuses on leading dry etch process engineering efforts to enhance technology development, process capability, and manufacturability for advanced CMOS technologies. The ideal candidate will drive improvements in yield, performance, and cost while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers. This position requires a strong technical background in dry etch processes and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in the semiconductor industry with a focus on dry etch process development.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with dry etch process development and plasma etch equipment.
  • Demonstrated history of collaboration across process modules and integration teams.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fab environment and support urgent manufacturing issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead dry etch process engineering efforts to drive technology development and process capability.
  • Define and execute process experiments and analyze data to resolve tool and process issues.
  • Collaborate with internal organizations, factory teams, and external suppliers to meet customer needs.
  • Support process development, transfer, optimization, and sustaining activities for multiple technology nodes.
  • Document process learning, experiment results, and best known methods clearly and accurately.
