The team focuses on operational excellence and ensuring high availability for customers in specialized security regions. Engineers will work with skilled professionals to develop innovative cloud solutions while maintaining a commitment to high-quality service delivery. Candidates should be motivated to grow their technical skills and contribute to the advancement of cloud technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ or CND or Network+ or Security+ certification.
  • 1+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
  • 1+ years of technical troubleshooting or support experience.
  • 1+ years of networking experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services.
  • Experience with systems administration on either Linux/UNIX or Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze defined projects and break down the work to help define milestones and success criteria.
  • Identify when implementations lack high availability or contain defects and investigate systemic patterns.
  • Resolve, mitigate, or escalate operational concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support the operational stability of CloudWatch and CloudWatch Logs services in ADC environments.
  • Investigate the root cause of customer issues impacting CloudWatch service visibility.
  • Analyze metric trends to identify performance degradation or capacity concerns.
  • Collaborate with the team on automation opportunities for common operational tasks.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, responding to service alerts and customer issues.
  • Dive deep into logs and metrics to understand system behavior and dependencies.
  • Discuss and implement improvements to the team's operational processes.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
