The Software Development Engineer II will join the AWS Telco Industry Solutions team to design and build scalable solutions for the telecommunications industry. This role involves gathering requirements, architecting solutions, and delivering implementations that leverage AWS services. The engineer will translate complex telco domain requirements into robust technical solutions. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and develop scalable, reusable solutions for telecommunications industry domains including networking infrastructure, OSS, BSS, and customer experience platforms
• Engage with telco customers to gather technical requirements and understand business objectives
• Lead end-to-end delivery of customer solutions from initial design through implementation, testing, and production deployment
• Build frameworks and patterns that can be leveraged across multiple telecommunications customers and use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, solutions architects, and customer success
• Contribute to the development of best practices, reference architectures, and technical documentation for telco industry solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team
