The Software Development Engineer at Annapurna Labs will architect, build, and operate infrastructure that accelerates silicon development. This role involves collaborating with chip design teams to enhance their workflows and reduce manual toil through automation. The engineer will work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and electronic design automation, contributing to the development of custom silicon for AWS. • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
• 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment
• Experience with high-performance computing clusters using workload schedulers like Slurm
• Familiarity with semiconductor development workflows or electronic design automation environments
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident management at scale

• Partner with silicon design, verification, emulation, and software teams to understand their development workflows and pain points.
• Build tooling and automation that eliminates manual toil and reduces time-to-results.
• Gather continuous feedback from internal customers and rapidly iterate on solutions.
• Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing clusters.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code and service deployments.
• Take ownership of platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Develop monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting systems that provide actionable insights.
• Establish incident response processes, runbooks, and documentation.
• Proactively anticipate system failures and implement preventive measures.
