Job description
The AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineer role focuses on ensuring the seamless operation of AWS's dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering and automation. The team is part of the Region Reliability Engineering & Automation group, which aims to innovate and enhance regional reliability for mission-critical operations. Candidates will work on complex technical issues and collaborate with industry-recognized engineers to drive operational excellence. A strong emphasis is placed on using advanced technologies like Amazon Bedrock to improve cloud systems.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification.
- 3+ years of systems administration experience with Linux or Windows.
- Experience working with scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
- 3+ years of experience supporting procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
- Experience in networking and troubleshooting.
- Experience with performance and log analysis.
- Experience debugging and conducting systems analysis to resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce repetitive tasks.
- Expand regional coverage for AWS's critical services.
- Conduct deep dives into system and service interdependencies to resolve challenges.
- Collaborate with engineers to engage in continuous learning and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Partner with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies to implement secure cloud solutions.
