Job description

The Software Engineer Manager for GCP Identity Infrastructure at Google is responsible for leading a team of engineers to build reliable and scalable identity infrastructure that secures Google Cloud. This role involves not only providing technical leadership but also managing project goals and contributing to product strategy. The manager will oversee the deployment of large-scale projects and ensure the secure life-cycle of authentication credentials. The position requires collaboration across various teams to deliver on product goals in a complex and dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategy for the next-gen authentication stack for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Identity.
  • Enable agentic identity through credentials exchange for agents.
  • Develop and grow talent through hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers.
  • Drive technical projects and provide technical leadership to inspire the team to innovate.
  • Collaborate across all of Technical Infrastructure and GCP with product managers and other software engineer managers.
