Job description

The Manager - Indirect Tax Technology & Transformation role at EY focuses on building and delivering innovative tax technology solutions to help clients manage their indirect tax obligations efficiently. The position involves working closely with tax-technical subject matter professionals to develop data and technology solutions that enhance tax consulting services. As part of a dynamic team, the manager will contribute to the evolution of tax technology strategies in a rapidly changing field. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong client relationship management skills.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in technology, information science, accounting, or finance and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
  • Approved technical certification, CPA license, or membership to a state Bar.
  • Hands-on technical experience with expertise in delivering innovative, data-driven solutions using modern analytics and AI technologies.
  • Experience with developing solutions using Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, or Databricks stack.
  • Strong communication skills in managing stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Use technology to accelerate and enhance the delivery of indirect tax services.
  • Actively participate as a member of pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting various client projects.
  • Develop transformative solutions and foster deep client relationships.
  • Monitor penetration and performance of technology services and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Identify ways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies.
