Job description
The Senior Software Engineer role at Microsoft focuses on supporting a portfolio of products within the Azure cloud, enabling critical workloads for customers. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
- This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Independently use appropriate artificial intelligence tools and practices across the software development lifecycle in a disciplined manner.
- Review product code and test code to ensure it meets team standards and continuously improve code performance.
- Provide insight during code reviews to help improve code quality and develop other engineers' skills.
- Use debugging tools and telemetry to proactively verify assumptions while developing code.
- Conduct incident retrospectives to identify root causes of problems and implement repair actions.
- Lead by example to produce extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant code.
