Job description
The Lead AI Engineer role focuses on defining, architecting, and delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions for Investment, Corporate, and Commercial Banking. This position requires deep technical leadership and architectural ownership, emphasizing the adoption of large language models and generative AI platforms. The engineer will work closely with various technology and business teams to foster an AI-first engineering culture. The role also involves mentoring engineers and ensuring that AI solutions align with banking domain needs and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or Java (Spring Boot).
- Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular, Node.js).
- Deep knowledge of AI fundamentals including knowledge representation and automated planning.
- Extensive hands-on experience with LLM platforms such as OpenAI and Google.
- Strong experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Proven ability to design and expose robust, scalable APIs for AI services.
- Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts and influence stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of banking and regulated financial environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of scalable AI solutions.
- Architect advanced agent-based systems integrating multiple LLM providers.
- Build and deliver production-grade, full-stack AI applications using modern platforms.
- Champion MVP-driven delivery and rapid iteration to achieve fast time-to-value.
- Define rigorous evaluation frameworks and metrics for AI performance.
- Proactively evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across teams.
- Ensure AI solutions are grounded in deep banking domain understanding.
