Job description

The Regulatory Reporting role is an intermediate level position within the Controllers Organization at Citi, reporting to the Global Head of Regulatory and Capital Reporting. The individual will be part of a team focused on creating and communicating the Firmwide External Reporting Controller (FERC) framework. This position involves high visibility within the organization and collaboration with various Finance and non-Finance functions. The main focus is on data ownership, controls, and issues analysis to support FERC accountability.

Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of extensive experience within the financial services industry and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with project/program management methodologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex programs on time.
  • Ability to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts and influence change.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts and discrepancies.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Research, compile, and maintain comprehensive information on reporting practices, underlying data sources, controls, and open issues for each FERC product area.
  • Develop and maintain the FERC information repository as the central knowledge base for product accountability.
  • Analyze data completeness and accuracy requirements for U.S. regulatory and financial reporting compliance.
  • Identify and solution challenges FERCs face in fulfilling their reporting accountability requirements.
  • Track and report on open issues and risks across the FERC effort and with individual FERCs.
  • Maintain program management tools such as SharePoint, project trackers, and document libraries.
  • Support the program lead in preparing materials for senior leadership reviews and governance forums.
  • Coordinate with colleagues on workstream handoffs and collaborative efforts.
  • Leverage Citi knowledge and reporting knowledge to contextualize FERC requirements within existing Financial and Regulatory reporting structures.
  • Maintain risk register and escalation protocols while appropriately assessing risk in decision-making.
