Job description

The Software Developer II position on the AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Planning Tools team focuses on building innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of the field team. This role involves defining and developing the next go-to-market platform for the AWS Sales organization, utilizing the latest AWS technologies. The team is dedicated to delivering superior products and solving large-scale business challenges in a dynamic environment. Candidates should be comfortable with ambiguity and eager to innovate in Sales Planning and Management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications with necessary customization
  • Participate in the planning and analysis of requirements for system enhancements, translating requirements into well-architected solutions
  • Support cross systems and related integrations across the Sales Planning Domain
  • Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues
  • Research and find opportunities to utilize AWS best practices and guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling, and monitoring
