Job description
The Camera Systems Engineering Group is seeking an exceptional position sensing systems engineer to lead product and technology development projects. This role involves designing innovative camera technologies that enhance performance and redefine user experiences. The engineer will collaborate with various teams across Apple to develop, test, and qualify camera hardware. A strong understanding of sensing systems and experience in engineering are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with magnetic or optical sensing systems.
- Experience with mixed-signal electronics and/or signal processing.
- Experience with measurement science, calibration, or physical modeling.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar.
- Experience applying systems engineering concepts and analysis to connect use-case requirements to system-level requirements.
- Experience with documenting engineering requirements specifications.
- Experience with magneto-static simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.
- Experience leading and owning technical projects independently.
Responsibilities
- Lead product and technology development projects for camera systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and design camera hardware.
- Develop and test innovative camera technologies for performance enhancement.
- Implement behavioral models of sensing system signal chains using tools like Matlab or Python.
- Drive statistical data analysis for high-volume manufacturing data analysis and yield investigations.
