Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Systems Development Engineer III to join the Region Services team within Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC). This role focuses on the technical integration and onboarding of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) into US Sovereign and Dedicated Cloud environments. The engineer will work closely with ISV partners, AWS service teams, and government customers to ensure rapid deployment of products in classified environments. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to navigate complex compliance and operational challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
- 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
- 4+ years of systems development experience in an IT or data center environment.
- 2+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience operating in air-gapped environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical onboarding of ISV partners into ADC environments.
- Provide hands-on technical support to ISVs deploying workloads in classified environments.
- Define and own the ISV integration strategy, developing repeatable onboarding processes.
- Drive Model Parity by working with AI/ML model providers to package and deploy their model containers.
- Identify and escalate service or feature parity blockers that prevent ISV deployment.
- Coordinate with AWS Professional Services, WWPS Partner teams, and government stakeholders.
- Support ISVs ranging from AWS-experienced organizations to those with zero classified environment experience.
- Influence technical roadmaps across partner and service teams.
Benefits
- Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
