The Senior Software Engineer will join Apple's Pricing Infrastructure team, which is responsible for the ASE Pricing Platform that supports subscription services globally. This role focuses on designing, scaling, and evolving critical systems that facilitate accurate pricing across 175+ countries. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who challenges assumptions and delivers solutions under deadlines. They will work on large-scale distributed systems and contribute to enhancing the overall commerce ecosystem at Apple.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in crafting, implementing, and supporting highly scalable backend applications.
- Proven expertise in designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- Expert experience with Java or Scala.
- Meaningful experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies such as Oracle and Cassandra.
- Demonstrated understanding of multi-threaded and asynchronous programming concepts.
- A deep understanding of HTTP and REST APIs.
- Ability to design and establish coding patterns and standards across multiple code repositories.
- Proven track record of re-architecting an expansive codebase while transitioning to new technologies or frameworks.
- Strong background in Unix or Unix-like systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools.
