Job description
The Machine Learning Platform team at Apple is focused on empowering Ad Platforms teams to build and scale innovative machine learning systems for optimized advertising content. This role involves collaborating with engineers and data scientists to develop secure and scalable back-end systems. The position emphasizes building high-performing systems while addressing unique challenges in the advertising domain. Requirements
- Proven track record of designing and operating large-scale, low-latency ML Serving platforms supporting real-time and batch inference.
- Experience with model quantization, tensor parallelism, and inference optimizations such as ONNX Runtime and TensorRT.
- Hands-on experience designing and optimizing low-level GPU kernels to maximize hardware utilization.
- Prior experience in the advertising industry and knowledge of privacy-preserving ML techniques.
- PhD, MS, or BS in computer science or a related field, with 8+ years of experience in machine learning.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure and scalable back-end systems for machine learning applications.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists to improve and scale ML features and models.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies for inference optimization.
- Mentor and support the growth of engineers through code and design reviews.
- Build abstractions and automation tools to streamline ML workflows and reduce operational burden.
