The Network Infrastructure Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be responsible for building and scaling network systems within Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions. This role is part of the Infrastructure Operations team, focusing on enhancing the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks. The engineer will collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution while managing capacity and troubleshooting network issues. The position requires a proactive approach to developing innovative solutions and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

• 1+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience including VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
• 3+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• Experience with networking fundamentals.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies.
• CCNA or equivalent level networking certification, or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

• Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance activities.
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows.
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Manage work and priorities through the ticketing system and workflow.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Travel within geographical work area is required, with up to 40% travel outside traditional work area.
