Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure Operations team, focusing on building and scaling network systems for Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions. The role involves ensuring the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks while collaborating with internal customers and external vendors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong communication skills, with a background in supporting large-scale enterprise networks. The position requires a proactive approach to developing tools and best practices for network management.

• 1+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience including VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
• 3+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• Experience with networking fundamentals.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies.
• CCNA or equivalent level networking certification, or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

• Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance activities.
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows.
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Complete customer requests via the Remedy trouble ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Manage work and priorities through the ticketing system and workflow.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Travel within geographical work area and up to 40% outside traditional work area may be required.
