Job description

The Product Support Engineering Field Service Engineer at Amazon Prime Air is responsible for ensuring the technical reliability of the drone delivery system. This role involves collaborating with design and service engineering teams to drive continuous improvements based on operational data and customer feedback. The engineer will investigate system performance anomalies and lead cross-functional teams to optimize performance metrics. Strong technical communication skills are essential for translating complex system functions into actionable insights.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID

Responsibilities

  • Investigate drone system performance for anomalies and deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations.
  • Lead cross-functional system investigations with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize drone system performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to establish benchmark standards and reduce operational burdens.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures.
  • Deliver measurable system behavior improvements based on data analysis that impacts customer experience.
