Job description

The Quantitative Portfolio Analyst will join the Quantitative Model Management group within Fidelity's Portfolio Engineering organization. This team focuses on customized model portfolio construction and management for managed accounts and institutional clients. The role involves implementing and evolving quantitative portfolio management methodologies while collaborating with portfolio managers and technology teams. The analyst will contribute to improving investment strategies and client outcomes through quantitative research and analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in the investment management industry with applied quantitative finance skills.
  • Graduate degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Quantitative Finance.
  • CFA or related investment certifications are preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming (Python, R), data access (SQL), and version control (Git).
  • Proficiency in leveraging modern AI-assisted development and research tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day portfolio management process and collaborate with Portfolio Managers.
  • Conduct complex quantitative research projects to improve investment methodology and client outcomes.
  • Lead the development of portfolio oversight processes and communicate performance metrics.
  • Guide the investment architecture and design enhancements to the model management platform.
  • Develop hypothetical portfolios and perform transition management for clients.
