Job description

The Director of Full Stack Engineering at Fidelity's FFIO Pricing & Billing Technology team will lead initiatives to enhance the billing platform for alternative investments. This role emphasizes technical leadership, engineering excellence, and alignment of technology with business goals. The team is responsible for providing accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity's mutual funds and investment products. The position requires hands-on development and mentoring of engineers while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of hands-on full stack development experience using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Camel, JMS, Apache Kafka, Oracle, and deploying applications in Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and tools, including Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, NPM, and RxJS.
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and design patterns.
  • Proven delivery focus with a full ownership mindset.
  • Ability to define and drive technology roadmaps.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and building digital workflows is preferred.
  • Experience developing or modernizing applications within financial services or asset management is preferred.
