This role focuses on developing assembly processes and equipment to support Intel's future packaging technologies. The team aims to optimize manufacturing efficiency while ensuring quality and reliability in semiconductor packaging. Candidates will engage in innovative problem-solving and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance packaging processes. The position requires a strong experimental background and expertise in statistical methods.

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics/Applied Physics, or a related STEM field with 5+ years of industry experience, or a PhD in a related field with 2+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in technology development, including familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Strong experimental background with hands-on laboratory or prototype development experience.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and external collaborators.
• Experience in programming/script development with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.

• Develop new techniques and tools for early identification of packaging quality issues.
• Set reliability requirements based on understanding of failure mechanisms and influence design and material selection.
• Provide consultation on packaging problems and improvements in the packaging process.
• Deliver standardization in product qualification and engage with technology development groups.
