Job description

The role is focused on developing innovative camera hardware solutions within the Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple. The team is dedicated to delivering superior camera hardware that enhances user experience across Apple products. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance specifications and translate complex system architectures into electrical and IC requirements. Candidates should be enthusiastic and ready to tackle significant challenges in camera technology.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience validating electro-optical, electro-mechanical, or mixed signal systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for scripting, lab automation, silicon validation, or data analysis.
  • Experience with low-level programming and debugging for embedded development using C/C++.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test, and camera systems engineers.
  • Evaluate performance specifications for camera hardware.
  • Translate complex system architectures into electrical and IC requirements.
  • Lead the validation of relevant subsystems, defining requirements and plans.
  • Drive projects to completion by demonstrating required skill sets.
