The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business needs and generate technical requirements. The position requires a strong background in software development and a commitment to solving complex challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent experience in professional software development.
  • Master's degree in a technical field or Master of Business Administration is preferred.
  • Experience driving adoption of new and disruptive technologies.
  • Experience in software development or familiarity with the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with program and business stakeholders to document requirements and create functional specifications.
  • Design, develop, test, launch, and improve Amazon Selling Partner self-service software products.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Amazon’s internal authoring application and workflow engine.
  • Engage with software development teams to understand and guide evolving program technology.
  • Author content in various markup languages such as Mustache, Markdown, HTML, and CSS.
  • Deep dive into technical product or operational issues to propose and implement effective solutions.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
