As an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, ensuring they meet evolving customer needs. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to maintain high standards for safety and security while enhancing capacity and efficiency. This role involves troubleshooting, conducting root cause analysis, and developing innovative solutions for data centers. You will also lead engineering audits and support new construction projects.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
• Organized with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget
• Possess leadership and problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and maintain high quality standards
• Possess data analytics skills, data querying skills/language, scripting, and comfort with working in vast amounts of data in new and evolving environments
• Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing

• Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and create corrective action documentation for site and equipment failures
• Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training and complex operating procedure reviews
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
• Work on concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions
• Initiate and lead engineering audits, including on-site visits within Amazon's data centers
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects and support construction, commissioning, and turnover
