Job description

The AWS Marketplace team is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to tackle complex scale challenges and enhance the service to meet customer needs. This role involves significant ownership of product features and system architecture, requiring a strong focus on building quality software and achieving operational excellence. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Own significant portions of the product and influence the strategy by defining the next wave of product features and system architecture.
  • Solve challenging scale problems and evolve the service to meet customer needs.
  • Work on complex system software and leverage AI tooling and Spec-Driven Development.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate in both business and technical contexts.
