Job description

The Senior or Staff-level Platform Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping and scaling the Instrumentation Platform team at Apple. This team focuses on building frameworks and tools that enable engineers to measure and improve intelligent features across Apple's products. The role requires expertise in software development on Apple platforms and large-scale systems, with an emphasis on privacy and user experience. The engineer will collaborate closely with feature teams to deliver scalable platform solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in platform, systems, or framework software engineering.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, or C++, with a deep understanding of OS internals, concurrency, and memory management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and shipping developer-facing APIs and software frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
