The Network Implementation Engineer will be responsible for executing the deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. This role involves collaboration with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, and various vendors to ensure the reliability and scalability of Google's network. The engineer will focus on building cost-effective solutions while monitoring network performance and addressing issues proactively. The position is crucial for supporting Google's extensive user base and operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP, or system design operations methodology.
- Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
- Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
- Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
- Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
- Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.
