Job description

The Agentic Safety and Ecosystem Architect role within the Trust and Safety team at Google focuses on ensuring the safety and integrity of autonomous AI agents across the Android platform. This position requires a strategic thinker who collaborates with engineers and product managers to combat abuse and fraud. The role involves designing frameworks to mitigate risks associated with AI interactions and ensuring user safety. The team is dedicated to promoting trust in Google products and protecting users globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Experience with ML/AI based programs in Trust and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the rules of engagement for autonomous agents on Android, ensuring that multi-step plans are audited for safety before execution.
  • Implement strict 'least-privilege' models so agents cannot escalate system permissions or access sensitive user data without explicit, context-aware consent.
  • Partner with the Product team to build runtime monitoring that identifies 'agentic drift,' recursive loops, or adversarial attempts to hijack agent reasoning.
  • Create self-testing kits for the Android developer community to ensure that third-party agents are built with brakes and kill-switches.

Benefits

  • Employees at Google are often offered benefits like comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, and flexible work arrangements, among other benefits.
