The Senior UX Researcher for YouTube Shorts Creation will lead user experience research for the Editing workstream. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define research strategies and influence product decisions. The position is essential for driving the development of tools that empower creators to produce engaging short-form videos.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in an applied research setting.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative user experience research methods.
- Experience conducting benchmarking, tracking, or measuring product quality.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the user experience research strategy and roadmap for the Shorts Editing workstream.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and User Experience Design to influence the product roadmap.
- Plan and execute foundational and evaluative research on generative AI-assisted editing paradigms.
- Conduct mixed-methods research to streamline the video creation flow and mitigate user friction points.
- Translate research findings into actionable frameworks and benchmarking programs.
