Job description
The Associate Test Engineer role at KLA involves working in manufacturing to test new technologies related to optics, assembly, electrical components, and system integration. Requirements
- Hands-on experience in electrical component level testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements.
- Familiarity with Oscilloscopes and DVM analysis tools and equipment.
- Ability to use and manipulate fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers.
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills with a logical approach to problem solving.
- Dedication to working with minimal supervision.
- Technical Certificate, AS degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training.
- Prior hands-on experience testing digital and/or analog components and systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend complicated drawings and use various testing instruments.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate effectively within teams.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends.
- Physical capability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Knowledge of LabView, Linux, and MS Office suite software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits and mechanical assemblies.
- Determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints and diagrams.
- Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems, completing rework as necessary.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.
- Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
- Work on assignments that require judgment in resolving issues.
- Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction.
- Provide work assignment direction and technical training to peers.
