Job description

The Electrical Design Engineer will join KLA's Central Engineering team in Milpitas, focusing on overseeing the entire design process for electrical circuits. This role involves working on power distribution, temperature control, motion control, and FPGA modeling. The engineer will ensure projects meet business objectives while staying within scope, budget, and timeline. Collaboration with various engineering teams is essential to achieve seamless integration and testing.

Requirements

  • Electrical engineering background is required.
  • Basic electrical circuit design experience with tools such as OrCAD, AutoCAD, and PSpice is necessary.
  • Experience in PLC programming design with Siemens, Allen Bradley, or OMRON is required.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar analysis tools is needed.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • A Doctorate degree with no experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire design process from requirements specification to cost estimation and scheduling.
  • Design various electrical circuits including power distribution and temperature control.
  • Conduct testing and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB and Python.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers for seamless integration.
  • Develop supporting documentation such as assembly and test procedures.
  • Lead and oversee projects from initiation to completion.
