Job description
The Sr. Systems Design Engineer will be integral to the development and support of next-generation optical critical dimension metrology systems. This role involves leading product development from technology evaluation to customer support. The engineer will work within a team focused on creating innovative solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a solid background in modeling and simulation.
Requirements
- PhD in Optics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in creating computational models to represent complex optical systems.
- Strong background in engineering or physical sciences with demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the division, customers, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate concepts and designs for next-generation systems.
- Lead design efforts for system components, including building models and performing analysis.
- Contribute to prototype testing by providing input to test plans and conducting experiments.
- Drive small team efforts to address product-level issues and improve designs.
- Lead development of performance and troubleshooting diagnostics for products.
- Collaborate with global engineers to resolve system issues and standardize solutions.
