The Global Mfg Quality Engineer - Welding Specialist will work remotely, focusing on manufacturing excellence for Cummins' operations in Indianapolis, IN. This role emphasizes the development and implementation of welding processes that meet safety, quality, and productivity objectives. The engineer will also lead process improvement initiatives and establish best practices across multiple projects and facilities. Additionally, the position involves significant travel for the next 12-18 months to support global operations and new plant start-ups.
Requirements
- A college or university degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience is required.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience, specifically 3 to 5 years in manufacturing quality.
- Hands-on laser welding experience is preferred.
- Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and establishing weld monitoring processes is necessary.
