Job description

The Senior Operations Excellence Specialist will join the Manufacturing team at Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems in Forest City, NC. This role focuses on driving operational excellence through process optimization, lean methodologies, and strong collaborative partnerships. The specialist will be responsible for enhancing production processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The position requires a proactive approach to managing ambiguity and complexity in manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • 3 years of experience working in a Lean manufacturing field is preferred.
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including manufacturing or manufacturing plant experience, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting and coaching teams in the implementation of the Toyota Production System (TPS) or similar production systems is preferred.
