Job description
The Senior Noise Analyst position at Jacobs focuses on conducting noise impact assessments and barrier analysis for transportation and utility projects across the Southeastern United States. The role is part of the Southeast Environmental Planning and Permitting Department, which aims to address critical environmental challenges. The successful candidate will lead noise analysis projects, primarily emphasizing transportation-related initiatives. Additionally, the position involves collaboration with various specialists and contributing to the development of junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Geography or related field
- 8+ years in the environmental consulting industry
- Experience applying FHWA’s TNM 2.5 modeling guidance for transportation projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, ArcGIS Pro, and Bluebeam
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Ability to travel within the Southeast geography based on business need
Responsibilities
- Develop scopes-of-work, fee proposals, and task schedules
- Coordinate with environmental specialists, engineers, and project managers to complete tasks
- Ensure that relevant project tasks are completed within established deadlines, budgets, and scope-of-work
- Serve as lead QA/QC reviewer of all noise documentation prepared for projects
- Assist in the identification and development of new clients and service sectors
- Participate in business development and marketing efforts to develop the Noise group within Jacobs EPP
- Lead Noise-related field work and report preparation efforts as needed
- Assist with noise-related public involvement and outreach activities
