Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in an IT support, networking, systems administration, or introductory security role is required.
- Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, subnets, and the OSI model is necessary.
- Hands-on familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments is required.
- Foundational exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining security tools, including firewalls and SIEM platforms.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to review infrastructure blueprints for cybersecurity alignment.
- Assist in running periodic security audits and scanning infrastructure for vulnerabilities.
- Write basic scripts to automate repetitive security tasks and system validation.
- Act as a technical point of contact to troubleshoot internal integration issues with security software.
- Create and update technical documentation for deployed security suites.
