Job description

As a CPU Performance Management Firmware Developer at Qualcomm, you will work on enabling power management solutions for Qualcomm's custom CPUs. This role involves collaborating with hardware and firmware development teams to define and implement embedded firmware that manages CPU performance. You will also engage with third parties for platform enablement and provide input on future designs. The position requires a strong background in software engineering and embedded systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
  • 4+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Proficient in writing and debugging C and assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Assist in the definition of CPU Performance Management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.
  • Engage with open source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.
  • Help identify skills requirements and assist in hiring engineers.
  • Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debugging, diagnostics, and firmware lifecycle.
