Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Project Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join their Industrial Wastewater Treatment team in Syracuse, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on challenging projects and collaborate with industry-leading experts. The main focus is on planning, designing, and implementing complex industrial wastewater treatment systems across North America. The engineer will also mentor junior staff and contribute to sustainability and regulatory compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 7 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment engineering
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience managing project execution and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Proactive and collaborative professional with strong project leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical analyses, process evaluations, engineering calculations, and design activities for industrial wastewater treatment projects.
  • Develop and implement treatment solutions utilizing various technologies.
  • Manage project tasks and technical deliverables, ensuring quality work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Prepare scopes of work, technical reports, cost estimates, project schedules, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, environmental, and construction teams to deliver integrated treatment solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships by understanding project needs and providing technical guidance.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff while upholding quality and safety standards.
