Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join their Industrial Wastewater Treatment team in Syracuse, NY. This role involves leading impactful projects across North America, focusing on advanced treatment technologies for industrial clients. The engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of wastewater treatment systems. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring emerging talent are essential aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 10 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more states
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred
  • 14 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of complex industrial wastewater treatment projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop innovative treatment solutions utilizing various technologies including physical, chemical, biological, and thermal processes.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary engineering, environmental, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and designers.
  • Develop and strengthen strategic client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive project success through effective planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality management.
