The Microsoft Sovereign Cloud Identity team is seeking an early career Software Engineer to join the Authentication team. This role focuses on maintaining the lifecycle of the Entra Authentication services stack within the Azure ecosystem. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

• Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
• Support identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.
• Learn to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable.
• Assist in breaking down work items into tasks and provide estimation.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems.
• Review current developments and proactively seek new knowledge to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products.
