Job description
The Tech Lead; Windows Client Systems Engineer position at Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) focuses on delivering robust and highly available services to internal customers supporting the Amazon Dedicated Cloud for U.S. Government customers. The role requires a hands-on approach to maintain and enhance existing services, including Windows build and deployment capabilities. The successful candidate will mentor junior team members and drive the design and implementation of new services. A strong technical background and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for this role.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification.
- 7+ years supporting Windows family of operating systems with expertise in four of the eight core competencies: AD, DHCP, PowerShell, Email workflow, SCCM, GPO, Win OS, DNS, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
- 2+ years of Technical Lead experience within the Windows Domain.
- 3+ years' experience in automation/scripting in the Windows environment using PowerShell.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and management of core ADC services.
- Drive team initiatives across the Vector vertical and partner with various internal business units.
- Design, create, adapt, and improve operations management systems and processes.
- Drive expedient resolution and root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Mentor and develop a team of Operational Engineers.
- Lead the development and delivery of system health monitoring and automation tools.
