Job description
The Windows Client Systems Engineer role at Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) focuses on delivering robust and highly available Windows desktop services for Amazon's internal customers, particularly in support of the U.S. Government. The position requires a hands-on engineer with a strong technical background to maintain and enhance existing services, ensuring security compliance and effective application deployment. Requirements
- A current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
- An Associate's degree or above, or certifications such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP are preferred.
- A minimum of 4+ years supporting Windows OS, including experience with Active Directory, DHCP, PowerShell, ECM, GPO, DNS, 802.1x, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
- Experience with ECM for OS imaging, patching, and software deployment is necessary.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for creating and collaborating on technical documentation are essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance existing Windows desktop services and deployment capabilities.
- Fulfill requests for application packaging and deployment, as well as manage break/fix scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with the Security Compliance team to ensure security compliance across desktop environments.
- Drive the design and implementation of new services while finding ways to improve and automate existing services.
- Provide escalation support and mentoring for junior team members.
