The Senior Power Electronics Engineer will be a key member of the Amazon Leo Government team, focusing on the design and analysis of satellite and ground systems. This role involves delivering innovative solutions for power electronics sub-systems that support communication and control needs. The engineer will lead tasks such as schematic design, circuit analysis, and layout review while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position requires a strong emphasis on customer needs and the ability to conduct analyses to ensure proposed solutions meet those goals.

• 7+ years of experience in hardware development across the full product life cycle from concept to production.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering work experience in Space, Aerospace/Defense, Automotive, and/or Communications fields or a combination thereof.
• 7+ years of experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools and with PCB design and debugging.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.
• The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions backed by data and analysis.
• Responsible for electrical power circuit design for hosting sensitive RF and communications payloads.
• Design electronic circuits including Analog Power circuits with filtering, voltage/current protection, and IR drop considerations.
• Analyze designed circuits using software tools for performance and characterization.
• Identify top-level customer requirements and ensure high-quality designs are pursued.
• Perform electrical design and layout trade studies for electrical and power sub-systems.
• Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews.
• Design and support test campaigns for space hardware.
