Job description
Amazon Robotics is seeking a System Development Engineer to join the Imperium Network Device Lifecycle Management team in Austin. This role focuses on developing scalable solutions for managing the lifecycle of network devices in fulfillment centers. The engineer will collaborate with global teams to create efficient technology that enhances Amazon's fulfillment network. Ideal candidates will have a passion for network management applications and will be responsible for automating complex tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience building services using AWS products
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
Responsibilities
- Create new and enhance existing frameworks for managing network devices' lifecycle at Amazon fulfillment centers
- Develop simple and efficient technology that enables Amazon’s fulfillment network
- Automate complex tasks to allow the business to scale with customer demand
- Interact with network engineering teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
- Work on technical designs, architecture, and coding as part of an agile development team
