Job description
Amazon Lab126 is seeking a software engineer to create innovative software and firmware for Amazon devices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving the adoption of AI tools to enhance feature delivery. The engineer will take ownership of critical design issues and influence system architecture. This position is integral to ensuring technology readiness and optimizing hardware/software architecture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of ARM CPUs
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture and optimization techniques
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Create world class software and firmware for customer features on Amazon devices and services.
- Adopt and drive the latest AI tools to enhance the pace of delivery of a feature.
- Interact with cross-functional engineering teams across the company.
- Take ownership for critical design issues involving multi radio coexistence and antenna configuration.
- Participate in design reviews and influence system architecture.
- Collaborate with silicon partners to define and optimize HW/SW architecture.
- Address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability.
- Help build robust methodology and processes to deliver technology to products.
